Second Annual Meeting February 2026
The Second Annual Meeting of the OH-ALLIES project was held on Friday February 27th 2026 at the Department of Agriculture’s Backweston campus. The day kicked off at 9, and after an opening address from the Head of DAFM Laboratories, Dr. Rob Doyle, there was a talk from two guest speakers. Dr Trude Lynstad, a vet from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, and Dr Bjørnar Ytrehus, a vet from the Norwegian Veterinary Institute, jointly presented an update on the surveillance work being carried out in Norway as part of the 11-Member State OH4Surveillance project.
First Annual Meeting March 2025
The First Annual Meeting of the OH-ALLIES project was held on Thursday March 20th 2025 at the University College Dublin’s Belfield campus. The day kicked off at 9, and after an opening address from the Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr. June Fanning, there were talks from two guest speakers. The first was Dr Andrea Gervelmeyer who leads the One Health surveillance activities at EFSA, the European Food Safety Authority and outlined how the OH-ALLIES project fits into the wider European context in terms of EFSA-led One Health surveillance activities.
Project Workshop (November 2023)
An introductory project workshop was held in the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in Dublin in November 2023. This coincided with the One Health Symposium ‘From Policy to Practice in Ireland’ which was taking place the following day. This was the first exposure of the project to the wider Irish and GB One Health expert audience.
